Hotels in Mallorca

Mallorca is an island with a lot of history. Due to its strategic location in the Mediterranean Sea, over the centuries it became a reason for confrontation between different peoples, such as Muslims, Germans, and even the Austrian and Bourbon dynasties.

The trace of the past is visible throughout the island and its exceptional beaches and cliffs are some of the most interesting tourist attractions. Booking a room in one of our hotels in Mallorca, Catalonia Majorica or Catalonia del Mar-Adults Only, is a guarantee of an exceptional holiday.

The Gothic cathedral of Palma is one of the most recognizable buildings on the island. It was erected by order of Jaume I the Conqueror in the 13th century in the former enclave of a mosque, which is why it is oriented towards Mecca. In addition, it has the largest Gothic rose window in the world.

Bellver Castle has the particularity of being built on a circular plan, one of the few with this structure in Europe. Throughout its history it was used as a residence of the Crown of Aragon in the 14th century, a defense bastion in sieges during the 16th century or a military prison in the 18th century. Inside you can visit the Municipal Museum of Palma.

The Royal Palace of Almudaina or Alcázar Real is one of the residences of the Spanish royal family. It is located in front of the cathedral, with views towards the port. When Jaume II of Aragon conquered Mallorca, he built a castle on the citadel at the beginning of the 14th century and converted it into the seat of the government of the Kingdom of Mallorca.

Walking through the medieval neighborhood is a great experience. Here you will find the Arab baths, currently the only Muslim building preserved intact in Mallorca. Inside you can admire the classic rooms of buildings of this style, as well as a beautiful garden.

The Majorcan beaches are full of beauty and atmosphere. One of the most recommended is Es Portitxolet beach and, if you are looking for nature, don't miss Passeig Calvià, known as the “green lung” of Mallorca. It is a route of more than 30 kilometers to enjoy the vegetation and landscapes of the island. For their part, the beaches in the north of the island are the quietest, ideal for relaxing.

The Port of Palma was one of the first in the Mediterranean to receive tourist cruises. Walking through it, you will enjoy impressive views and spectacular boats setting sail.

Don't leave Mallorca without having tried its cuisine: Mallorcan frit, sobrasada, tumbet or stuffed eggplants. The ensaimada is the most representative sweet of the island, whose origin is unknown if it is Jewish or Muslim, but whoever tries it falls in love. There are some filled with angel hair, cream and even sobrasada.

Mallorca has a great cultural and landscape offer, which is why it is one of the main tourist destinations in Europe. Do you dare to enjoy this beautiful island?
