It was designed and built in 1903 by the architect Josep Majó Ribas, specifically to house the headquarters of the Barcelona newspaper. They worked here until 2004, when we completely remodeled it to become our Catalonia Ramblas hotel, inaugurated in 2006. It is the only modernist building on Pelai street, which is why it undoubtedly draws the attention of all passers-by. The fully restored façade is especially attractive for its green-themed sgraffito. If you look up, you will see that the balconies still have their wrought iron railings and that the building is crowned with four merlons combined with decorative trellis.
